Tottenham and Wolves get back to winning ways.

Have we gone back to 2018/19 because Wolves have won their first game of the season and Matt Doherty has scored a goal. Tottenham also got back to winning ways, even if Hugo Lloris thought he was Johan Cruyff and Danny Ings took advantage of that. It was a real throw back to the good times at Wolves.

Watford now look to be the veritable whipping boys of the Premier League after conceding 10 goals in the last two games. On the other hand though, Wolves managed to make everything click and run like clockwork in their game over the weekend. Matt Doherty starred in Wolves first victory of the season with Morgan Gibbs-White securing an assist as well as Neto securing an assist also.

Watford on the other hand looked dead in the water. Wolves played the Wolves way under Nuno Espirito Santo. Has it made us Fantasy managers sit up and take notice, perhaps but also perhaps not, as it is only one game and a lot can change in a week. For example, Wolves go way to free scoring Manchester City next Saturday. Of course, Wolves will make a game of it, but the way Manchester City are playing at the minute, you would expect nothing but a Sky Blues win.

That being said though, if Wolves can put together a run of form over the next few weeks. After the Manchester City game, they Southampton, Newcastle United, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Bournemouth in their next five matches. To be honest, I would more than expect to have Wolves coverage, such as Matt Doherty and Morgan Gibbs-White in my Fantasy side, in the next few weeks, given Wolves' attacking potential.

Moving onto Tottenham Hotspur and over the weekend, they showed that they are coming back to the Tottenham Hotspur that they were last season under Mauricio Pochettino. In that time, Harry Kane, Heung Min-Son and Christian Eriksen were the three main stalwarts. They showed in their hard fought win over Southampton, that they can draw out a win, while at the same time, playing nice attacking football - the Tottenham way!

Tottenham showed that they are a force going forward and us Fantasy managers, if we have not picked one or two of them for their Fantasy sides by now, then we should be picking them going forward. They offer great attacking potential and the ability to score goals at will. Tag on Tanguy Ndombele the new Summer signing who can get the ball from defence to attack in seconds, then Tottenham have a great ability to score at will.

On the other hand, I would not be picking up their defence for the next couple of weeks. Serge Aurier is a liability at the back having the ability to get sent off at will, he has shown that fact in the Southampton match. Also, Hugo Lloris believes that he is Johan Cruyff trying to turn in the box at will, two yards from goal. Fantasy managers were crying out, no my Tottenham clean-sheet is gone.

In their next five, Tottenham face tricky fixtures against both Liverpool and Manchester City in between games against Brighton, Everton and Sheffield United. A tough run for Mauricio Pochettino and his band of brothers, can they come through it and show their winning mentality or will they wither and fade away.

It will be interesting to see!
