Manchester City are BACK!

Manchester City shown over the weekend that they can pick themselves up for a surprise defeat last weekend to Norwich City, to simply devour Watford FC this weekend. They started the scoring just 30 seconds into the "contest" thanks to David Silva and well, the avalanche of goals kept coming from there on in.

The game wasn't really a competition from the get go, as I checked my feed on the Fantasy Manager app during the day. I was surprised to see that after 10 minutes of playing FIFA and checking my app that Manchester City had scored 3 goals, then the 5-0 scoreline came in and I thought, this had to be a joke or the app was playing up. I checked and no, it was real, Manchester City were straight up demolishing Watford without really breaking a sweat.

The game was so easy for Manchester City to win at a canter, that both Riyad Mahrez and Nicolas Otamendi managed to score. Ok, Riyad Mahrez' goal may have taken a big deflection off of Tom Cleverley and sent Ben Foster the wrong way, but it still went in and Nicolas Otamendi's goal was the result of a well worked move. Sergio Aguero only scored one goal, a penalty, but he had so many chances, that he could've well easily scored a brace and more because Watford were just that bad.

Bernardo Silva played up top of the Sky Blues attack with Raheem Sterling to many a FPL managers shock and awe left on the bench, scored a hat-trick to show that the Pep rotation policy works, even though a big percentage of Fantasy managers were cursing their luck with Raheem Sterling on the bench. Especially, those who triple captained Sterling.

A couple of things that I noticed bar the goals, which I can tell you was hard to do was: the two young players for Manchester City who came in and did the job for the Etihad side. Eric Garcia is a young Spanish centre-back, who Pep Guardiola spoke highly of in the press conference after the game, will more than likely come in beside Nicolas Otamendi / Fernandinho and play while Aymeric Laporte is on the treatment table.

Manchester City go away to Everton in GW6 and usually we would be worried about Pep's side conceding, but with this performance against Watford, I am finding it hard to worry about City conceding a goal or two this upcoming weekend. The way Everton are playing at the moment under Marco Silva, it is like Manchester United, promoted sides like Sheffield United, the weekend just gone showed that they are not afraid of Everton, so why should a side that has put 8 past Watford be any less afraid or wary of Everton and Silva.

It may not be as bad as the 8-0 drubbing that they handed out to the hapless Hornets last weekend, but it could be tough to be an Everton fan again this upcoming weekend. It may be a 2 or 3 goal difference, but Everton will not be leaving Goodison Park with a clean-sheet once more.

Sorry Everton fans, but your side needs to tighten up, but it will not be enough to keep out a free scoring Manchester City side.
