Using GW3 to look ahead to GW4

Each week in the Premier League, like in life always leads into the next and we, here at Fantasy Football Club use the previous week, to look forward and predict what could happen in the upcoming week. To be honest, teams are only starting to form patterns of play and even the two best teams from last season, Manchester City and Liverpool are having tough times at the start of the season.

CHELSEA SHOW THAT YOUTH CAN PREVAIL:

Frank Lampard has to do one thing, with this transfer ban hanging over them, at least until January. He has to have faith and believe in his youth or younger players. That is certainly working out in Frank Lampard's and Chelsea's favour, as three players, namely Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic and Tammy Abraham played staring roles in Chelsea's hard fought 2-3 win over Norwich City. This means one thing, Fantasy managers who will be wildcarding early, or even just looking to have Chelsea coverage in their sides going forward will be smiling.

Chelsea will be looking for these fledgling "good times" to continue when in week 4, they play host to Sheffield United. Another player who along with the three players named above, who helped out any way possible was their signing from Real Madrid, Matteo Kovacic. He pinged balls all over the park which allowed for the open, expansive play that Chelsea are developing under Frank. To be honest, I could see a clean sheet next week and lots of bonus points for the Chelsea youth players, who are starting to very much develop as the season progresses.

IT'S PUKKI TIME, BUT WHAT ELSE DO NORWICH CITY OFFER:

Yes, everyone and their mother is talking about the start of the season, being a "Pukki Party" and rightly so, he has made a super start to the season, but what about taking a look at his team-mates. Two of his team-mates, Todd Cantwell and Emiliano Buendia have had solid starts to the season and even though they were on the losing side, (just) to Chelsea, there is a lot of positivity around The Canaries. The way, Daniel Farke approaches the game is music to FPL managers ears, because like Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, Norwich City play and open and free-flowing attacking football.

Next game is an away game to a West Ham side who put 3 past Watford over the weekend, but in my opinion to be honest, are also pretty open at the back and who can be got at. If you are thinking about Norwich City, to be honest with you, I would be looking at the three players in this section, Buendia, Cantwell and Pukki and no one else. If Teemu Pukki can continue his early season form, it will be a great start to the season and wildcards / transfers to bring in the Finnish international will certainly be on the up!

MADDISON AND VARDY SHOW LEICESTER PROMISE:

Leicester City got over the line in a hard fought win over the steel city club Sheffield United with the winner coming from boyhood Sheffield Wednesday fan, Jamie Vardy. There was great link up play with both himself and James Maddison, who showed exactly why he is a target for Manchester United. I seen many a Twitter commentator proclaim that her or she will be looking at bringing in Maddison for their FPL sides in the coming weeks. To be honest though, Youri Tielemanns needs to step up and make more of an impact under Brendan Rodgers seeing as the Northern Irishman has brought in the Belgian and thus shown so much faith in him at the start of the season.

Leicester welcome a AFC Bournemouth side this coming week home, who themselves are coming off of a home defeat to current Premier League Champions Manchester City. A home win is certainly expected by the Foxes' as they face a very leaky AFC Bournemouth defence, so expect Brendan Rodgers side to have a great time of it this Saturday.

LIVERPOOL SHOW JUST HOW GOOD THEY ARE AGAINST A HAPLESS ARSENAL:

Arsenal showed that when you try to go toe to toe with Liverpool, you come off the worse for it. Arsenal tried to play their style of football, but Liverpool found out Unai Emery's men fairly quick, making quick work of them. Even though, Adrian isn't the best keeper in the Premier League and Liverpool's defence is certainly suspect, their attack most certainly is not!

Mohamad Salah showed exactly why he is one of the most picked and captained players in the FPL game. A stellar performance by the Egyptian included two goals, showed us exactly why Liverpool are one of the two favourites for the Premier League crown this season and it also showed the gulf in class between them and Arsenal / the rest of the Premier League. Premier League defences may watch out as their attack is starting to get into motion. Their next game is away to Burnley and if you aren't captaining Mo Salah in this game and playing your Liverpool coverage, then you are simply doing FPL wrong.
